Mercedes Chamber Annual Awards Banquet Winners
The Mercedes Chamber of Commerce hosted its highly anticipated Annual Awards Banquet last night, April 26th, at the Llano Grande Event Center in Mercedes, Texas. The evening was filled with excitement, great food, and networking opportunities, but the highlight of the night was the announcement of the award winners.
J.E. “Eddie” Guerra was the esteemed guest speaker, and his speech was an inspiration to all in attendance. He spoke about the importance of hard work, dedication, and giving back to the community.
The event was an opportunity to recognize and honor individuals and businesses in the community who have made a significant impact. Javier Campos Jr. was named “Man of the Year,” Ashley R. Gonzalez was named “Woman of the Year,” and Henry Camargo received the “Lifetime Service Award.” Linda Mancillas was recognized for her “Contributions to the Arts,” Kathy Cowden was named “Civic Leader of the Year,” Sonia Martinez was recognized as “Educator of the Year,” and Al Trevino-Sonic Crush was named “Business of the Year.”
