New Travel Center to spark  growth with travelers center and restaurants to Mercedes.   Vicatron Energy Inc. broke ground on a  with a center to open in 2023.  The center will include a Wendy’s, a gift  shop, a stylish food and snack store, and Chick-fil-A next door all with large clean bathrooms to include showers.  The entire development will be located along Expressway 83 near the Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlets and the La Quinta Inn & Suites.
